Malcolm Gladwell made the idea popular that, if you put 10,000 hours of your time into any one practice, regardless of what it is, that you will become a master at it. I cannot directly attest for that being true to other activities, but for music–it really is. 

These songs are my life’s work, as I feel like I’ve talked about at length before, but it is the lifetime spent learning how to play all of the instruments and how to craft instrumentals and songs themselves that meet the sonic requirements of pleasure that has been the hardest part of the entire process..
