Who Is Tom Pergola?

Tom Pergola is one of the most accomplished songwriters and producers in the music industry, over the last 50+ years. Originally from New Jersey, Tom found music at an early age, as an outlet–and after finding out how good he was at guitar and building these industry relationships, he decided to go all in.

Going from New York to LA, Tom played guitar for Charo, as well as creating the iconic 1960’s New York band “The Pilgrims”, who were signed to Mercury REcords and saw much commercial success. Tom worked with the same producers as the Jackson 5 and Cher and Sonny, accumulating experience and building these different important relationships with people in his industry.

From there, Tom expanded his musical knowledge, playing and learning different instruments, including playing the congas on one of Allen Toussaint’s albums–who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

As his career has worn on, Tom has worked with the likes of everybody. Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes both purchased rap tracks from Tom Pergola, as well charting #1 for his own song on the R & B Charts, with the song “Sweet and Mellow”. Tom wrote and produced the “Tom Pergola Project” with featured Ricky Bell from New Edition.

Tom continues to work in the music industry, and has been trying to get into the TV space, writing and producing the Pilot for “Singing Mamas”. This is your chance, through My Original Songs Hub, to work with Tom, get a song and learn the ins and outs of the industry. Opportunities like this do not come along often.
